Any father going through the draconian clasps of the run for profit company trading as the Child Support Agency may like to take a look at our site www.deadbeatdadsassociation.co.uk
 Solicitors Regulation Authority

There's not much you can do about a dodgy solicitor. My ex's solicitor wrote "we would not recommend mediation to our client", which is completely against the code of practice for family solicitors. The SRA found them not guilty because they had not written that they had recommended their client not to go to mediation. Certainly a fine difference! So by all means report malpractice to the SRA but don't expect much.

What do you do when you suspect the worst.
 Domestic violence.

You have been a victim. Remember that domestic violence and contradiction of court orders are for most people the only 2 grounds for getting Legal Aid, so you can play this card. But be careful and do not get the police involved because especially the Domestic Violence Unit will normally arrest any man in the vicinity and label the woman as "victim"

Interestingly the support service for abused men AMEN (www.amen.ie) recommends that abused men stay in their house and protect the children. This is in contrast to the advice on www.womensaid.org.uk which is that an abused woman should leave leave immediately and take the kids!

Remember that the amount you are giving away in divorce settlement is small compared to that you will have to pay in Child Maintenence, so fight for your children from the beginning!

 The CSA:

Incredibly biased, official terror and institutionalized sexism

Never pay any cash "interim arrangements" as the CSA will force you to pay it again. They will collect back payments even after the children have turned 20 or older, they will even collect it from your estate if you have died in the meantime!! I warn you because the CSA plan to go over to a "gross salary" payment assessment soon, meaning men will have to pay MUCH MORE, so there will be much arguement about arrears!!!!
 HMRC

Child Benefit and tax credits. Cracking HMRC is tough as they regard themselves as exempt from the Freedom of Information Act
 Tribunals etc

Tribunals and I'll keep The Independent Case Examiner and the Information Commissioner in this thread for now.

What can you do? You should be able to get Legal Aid, but for safety complete an EX160 Fees Remission form as well.
The GP and others take her side

How to change their mind: serve both the GP and the PCT with a SD74 from your jobcenter. You need to serve both parties (i.e. school and LEA or GP and PCT) or they will only blame each other and slip out of it
